Stroke Association Seeks Supercar Enthusiasts

The Stroke Association is calling on motor heads across the South West to take part in the charity’s fundraising Supercar Saturday at the Circuit on Saturday 31st OctoberThe event will see drivers take to the tarmac to offer passenger rides and to take part in a variety of slalom challenges at the Paddock. The list of over 70 cars on offer will include an exotic mix of modern supercars including the mighty Porsche Carrera GT. Current Castle Combe Championship drivers Ilsa Cox (Audi R8) & Simon Tilling (Ferrari 360) will also be in action. For a different type of experience, take a ride with the FMC Motorsport Drift CrewAmy Spencer, Community and Events Fundraising Manager for the South West, said: “We’re hoping to see as many car enthusiasts as possible at our Supercar Saturday event. The day will give local people the chance to experience a full throttle passenger drive in some amazing cars – and by taking part, you’ll be doing your bit to raise vital funds for people affected by stroke. “We’re so grateful to the drivers who have offered their time and cars to make the event possible.”Entry to Castle combe is £5 per person, £2.50 for Senior Citizens and under 16’s are free. Passenger rides start from £20 and range up to £60On the day, the Bristol Motor Club will hold an auto-solo challenge in the Paddock which will start at 10:00am. Passenger rides start from £10 for three circuits or why not drive the challenge course for just £20
