SEAT’s Robert Huff won the third of Sunday’s three Green Flag British Touring Car rounds at Snetterton, Norfolk – the second BTCC win of his career.
Huff came through from eighth on the grid to take the lead early on. From there, the Cambridge-based driver kept behind him Vauxhall’s Yvan Muller and James Thompson to win in front of his home crowd.
Thompson set the race’s fastest lap to score a crucial bonus point. The result means that the title race will go down to the final three rounds at Donington Park on 26 September between Thompson, Muller and WSR MG driver Anthony Reid, who finished the race in fifth.
Thompson leads Muller by just four points, while Reid is very much the outside bet, a further 44 points behind.
