Setters join Supersports grid
Father and son team Doug and Chris Setters are the latest drivers to join the Dunlop Supersports Championship. They will race their Jade in the pair of races at Silverstone on 18 September as the 2004 championship season draws to a close.Based in Kent, the Setters have been regulars in the Castle Combe GT Championship this season but are taking the opportunity to sample Supersports at Silverstone as a try out ahead of the 2005 season. They will take advantage of the regular Supersports format, which provides two qualifying sessions and two races at each event; allowing two drivers to share a car if they choose. The addition of the Setters to Supersports is another boost to the championship that has enjoyed a considerable swell in support over recent weeks. In the most recent races at Donington, a strong contingent of Welsh-based Radicals boosted the grid. Terry Brown, Jeff Davies, Richard Rozhon and Huw Williams all made their Supersports debuts and are expected to return to the series in 2005.
