Spedeworth South will warm up an Autumn Sunday when the 2.0 Hot Rods return to Bovingdon Raceway on Sunday September 19th at 1.30pm to put the pedal to the metal in pursuit of the Hertfordshire Championship.
The 2.0 Hot Rods' blend of high speed, non-contact racing always produces breathtaking action at Bovingdon as the pilots of these incredibly fast (and expensive) cars roar around the track with inches between each others bumpers. Add to that level of racing the fact that one minor mistake may lead to a very expensive meeting with the safety fence and you will see why the Rods deliver real edge-of-the-seat racing excitement.
At the opposite end of the racing scale the Rookie Bangers will be in action. These stripped out MOT failures are really at home at Bovingdon, where consistently large grids and cars that really are past it when it comes to the handling and braking departments mean plenty of piles ups before the day is over.
The ever-popular Superstox will also be taking to the track in Round 13 of their Daytona Series. High speed and plenty of contact as the drivers shove their way through the pack in pursuit of the points and the silverware means plenty of no holds barred action is guaranteed on the day.
The event also sees a special guest appearance from the Rebel Racers. These retro-style cars will bring memories of racing from the golden age as they put the bumper in to each other in the time honoured Stock Car racing fashion.
With four great formulas in action, free parking, and a great view of all the action from high-banked spectator areas, plus the chance to see the might 2.0 Hot Rods settle the Hertfordshire Championship, Bovingdon (situated off B4005 Bovingdon, Nr Hemel Hempstead, Herts, on the airfield complex) will provide a value for money action packed day's racing when the green flag waves on September 19th.
