This new initiative is gaining in support all the time and the level of competition is already superb as the title contest heads into the final two events.A devastating last stage retirement with engine problems on the Tour of Flanders was a big set-back for Gareth Lloyd/Ryland James in their Mk2 Escort. Now, they head for Yorkshire trailing Ernie Graham/Robin Kellard by 15 points in the title race.Martin Freestone/Chris Heyes form another strong pairing, while Dick Slaughter/Geoff Dearing and Ian Rix/Frank Richer bring two more strong Mk2 Escorts to the famous Yorkshire stages.However, the real focus of attention will surely be on the presence of Stig Blomqvist in the entry in a Mk2 Escort from Historic Motorsport, co-driven by Ana Goni.
