Spedeworth Southern brings the all-action Stock Cars to Bovingdon Raceway on Sunday, October 3rd at 1.30pm to battle it out for the English Championship.
The heavily armoured Stock Cars have had a great season at Bovingdon, thrilling the crowds with their blend of high-speed, full contact racing. With the English title on the line a grid of the sport’s star drivers will be on hand at the Herts circuit and are bound to deliver a memorable race as they put the pedal very firmly to the metal and the front ironwork very firmly into the opposition to decide who will take the English Championship on race day.
Fans of high-speed, non-contact racing will have a great day watching the rapid 2.0 Hot Rods. These highly tuned machines always provide great racing at Bovingdon as the cars scream around the circuit, avoiding each other and the unforgiving safety fencing by mere inches.
The Rookie Bangers will definitely not be missing each other or the safety fence as the stripped out M.O.T failures take each to pieces in Round 12 of their track championship. The championship is rapidly approaching its climax, so the bumpers will be going in with extra power as the drivers attempt to grab the title by wiping out the opposition and surviving long enough to steer their car under the chequered flag.
To complete a great day’s racing the Ministox will be in action in the final of their King Ed Series. The Ministox are piloted by young 11-16 year old drivers who are learning the skills required to make it to the top in the tough world of stock car racing. Young they may be, but the spirited youngsters often deliver as much action as the senior formulas as they hurl their armoured Minis around Bovingdon raceway.
With four formulas on offer, and the chance to see the Stock Car English Championship decided in fine style, free parking, and a great view of all the action from high-banked spectator areas, Bovingdon (situated off B4005 Bovingdon, Nr Hemel Hempstead, Herts, on the airfield complex) is the place to be for some serious racing action on October 3rd.
