TO FORM CENTRE-PIECE OF 2005 RENAULT UK MOTORSPORT CALENDAR

Renault Sport has announced a 10-date race calendar for the 2005 season with the centre-piece to be a position at the British round of the brand new, pan-European, Renault Days package which will take place at Donington Park, Leicestershire, on 10th/11th September.

ELF/BTE Lawline Renault Clio Cup and Formula Renault UK Championship with Michelin will each continue to have 20 races next year and aside from the Renault Days event - featuring the brand new World Series by Renault and Mégane Trophy - the championships will, as ever, feature prominently at nine British Touring Car Championship meetings.

The 2005 season will commence on 9th/10th April at the Donington Park National Circuit before moving on to Thruxton Circuit, Hampshire, on 30th April/1st May and then Brands Hatch Indy Circuit, Kent, on 28th/29th May.

Oulton Park Island Circuit, Cheshire, is the next stop on the calendar on 18th/19th June, and North Yorkshire's Croft Circuit comes next on 9th/10th July. Renault Clio Cup and Formula Renault UK will then take a four-week break while the British Touring Car Championship makes its annual visit to Mondello Park in Ireland.

Renault reconvenes with the TOCA Tour on 6th/7th August at Snetterton, Norfolk, before a trip north of the border to Knockhill in Scotland on 27th/28th August. The manufacturer then takes part in its stand-alone Renault Days event at Donington Park on 10th/11th September.

Silverstone National Circuit, Northamptonshire, stages the penultimate meeting of the season on 17th/18th September before a return to Brands Hatch for the final races of each series on 1st/2nd October.
