Stock Cars World Final at Wimbledon

Spedeworth Southern brings a night of full-contact racing action to Wimbledon Stadium when the Stock Cars take to the track to battle it out for the World Championship on Sunday October 10th at 6pm.

The air around Plough Lane will be ringing with the sound of metal on metal as the best Stock Car pilots in the country attempt to lay claim to the title in the time honoured manner of powering around the track, while removing the opposition by use of the heavy iron front bumpers.

The Stock Cars have delivered some memorable night’s racing this season at Wimbledon and with the biggest title of them all up for grabs the World Final is likely to be an all-action affair from start to finish.

There will be more metal bashing racing when the Rookie Bangers line up for their night’s racing at Plough Lane. Officially billed as a “light contact” formula the Rookies still manage to send plenty of cars to the great scrap yard in the sky before the night is over as the drivers attempt to wrestle their over the hill cars around the track and avoid a crunching visit to the Wimbledon safety fence.

The non-contact Rookie Rods will also be in action, contesting their London Championship. These budget racers have proved a huge success in tempting fans off the terraces and onto the track to experience the thrills of short circuit racing, without having to break the bank account. Large grids of cars, and close racing action typify the formula and with the London Championship up for grabs the drivers will be going all out for a win on the night.

With three formulas in action, and the chance to see the Stock Cars World Final and the Rookie Rods London Championship decided in spectacular fashion, it is going to be another great night of racing action at Wimbledon Stadium, Britain’s finest stock car racing circuit.
