Stellar Weather for IMSA Northeast Grand Prix‏

It looks pretty certain that Lime Rock is going to have stellar “racing weather” for this weekend’s IMSA WeatherTech Northeast Grand Prix. It will be hot and sunny, but not too humid – perfect “stock a cooler, bring a lawn chair and park yourself in the shade of a tree” conditions.

Race day is Saturday, July 23. Tickets can be bought at the gate ($80). Note that veterans and active military are free, and kids 16 and under are free with accompanying adult(s). Parking is free, too.

IMSA WeatherTech is world-class international sports car racing – most of these cars and drivers are the same ones that race at the Rolex Daytona 24, the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring, the Le Mans 24 Hours and the 10-Hour Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta. The GT Le Mans class has been especially exciting as the Corvettes, Porsche 911s, Ferrari 488s and BMW M6s are gunning to stop the Ford GT’s three-race win streak.

The Lime Rock Northeast Grand Prix is the only time this championship visits the East Coast.
