Ken Roczen and RCH Suzuki stay on course at Unadilla

Ken Roczen and RCH Suzuki Factory Racing tipped the balance of the championship scales a little further in their favour in Round 10 of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship at the Unadilla Motocross at the weekend where Roczen dialled-up a flawless 1-1 performance to earn his 13th career and seventh overall victory of the season.

At the same time, the Soaring Eagle/ Jimmy John’s/ Suzuki Factory Racing rider collected his 16th moto win of the year and extended his points lead to 63 over second-placed Eli Tomac with two races left on the 2016 calendar. After mixing-it-up with Tomac over much of the outdoor campaign- and trading moto wins in two of the last four races - Roczen turned-up the wick at Unadilla and left no doubt that he was the man to beat.

The #94 Suzuki RM-Z450 rider served notice to the field in qualifying and was almost two seconds faster than the competition in Saturday morning’s second and final 450 Class warm-up.

The 2014 Pro Motocross Champion got a great jump out of the starting gate in both motos, including the holeshot in the second, affording the German-born rider a clear track for practically the entire afternoon.

As a result, Roczen won the first moto by just over 13 seconds and put an exclamation point on the day after winning the second moto by almost a minute.
