World premiere of the newest Nissan Pick-Up version with Colin McRae

The 2004 edition of Baja Anta da Serra 500 Portalegre, on the road from the 22nd to the 23rd of October, is the 18th edition of the oldest and most charismatic cross-country event to be held in Portugal.

The Prologue will take place on Friday, October 22nd, with bikes running in the morning and cars in the afternoon.

The first two Special Stages, running for 400 kilometers, are scheduled for Saturday with both a service and a neutralization taking place halfway through and another at the end. Bikers will complete a 420 km stage, with five services areas. Car drivers will complete the Epilogue on Sunday, running for about 100 kms.

In terms of sports show, one of the main attractions will be, obviously, the confirmed presence of the Nissan official team. The event organized by José Megre will be center stage for the world premiere of their newest version of the Pick-Up that will also be used for the next Dakar. In order to rightfully assess the capabilities of this new car, Nissan brings to Portugal veteran Scottish driver and former Rally World Champion, Colin McRae.

A battle of titanical proportions brought by some of the fastest Portuguese drivers awaits Colin McRae. Besides the Scottish champion, other great driver will attend, such as 2003 Cross-country World
