Confident Parsons ready for Pro Mazda Finale

Australian Jake Parsons is feeling confident going into the final three races of the Pro Mazda Championship at Mazda Raceway, Laguna Seca this weekend.

The series rookie, who has already claimed two podiums this year, is thrilled to be returning to the challenging 11-turn road course, a firm favourite of his.

“Laguna Seca is one of those iconic circuits that you dream of driving for real when you’re playing video games as a kid, but the reality is so much better than you can ever imagine. You never fail to have grin on your face going through the Corkscrew!” said the 21-year-old.

Parsons, who has won on the 2.238 mile (3.6km) Californian track in another series, is keen to carry forward the positives coming off a strong two-day test with his Juncos Racing team at Autobahn in Chicago last week.

“We did a lot of setup work at Autobahn and feel really positive about the weekend. I have my own car back after it got damaged in Toronto, which definitely helps and I’m carrying the confidence of having previous victories here too. It’s probably the best we have felt going into a race weekend,” explained the 2014 AsiaCup Champion.
