AMG-Team HTP Motorsport heading for the Blancpain GT Series title

Final race of the Endurance Cup at NürburgringTeam title to be decided at the RingAMG-Team HTP Motorsport runs with two Mercedes AMG-GT3

The Blancpain GT Series goes into its all-important phase: The title race promises to be exciting with only two remaining races. The AMG-Team HTP Motorsport, competing with two Mercedes-AMG GT3 at the Endurance Cup season finale, arrives at Nürburgring leading the team´s overall standings.

No matter what will happen in the three-hour-race at Nürburgring, the decision about who wins the driver´s title this year will take place at the Sprint final in Barcelona early October. However, the AMG-Team HTP Motorsport can win the teams title of the overall standings one race before the end of the season, because the team based in Altendiez is currently leading with 18 points advantage.

Following the fantastic victory of Maximilian Buhk and Dominik Baumann at the last race in Budapest, the German-Austrian driver-pairing has every chance to clinch the drivers title, since they are currently Runner-ups with only seven points behind the leaders.

The AMG-HTP Team competes at Nürburgring with #84 Mercedes-AMG GT3 with Maximilian Buhk (GER), Dominik Baumann (A) and the Malaysian driver Jazeman Jaafar. The sister car with the number 85 will be driven by the young guns Luciano Bacheta (GBR), Indy Dontje (NDL) and Clemens Schmid (A).

“Of course it is very nice to have a good lead coming into the weekend, but anything can happen”, says Norbert Brückner, Team Principal AMG-Team HTP Motorsport. “It would be great for both team and drivers if we could grab the title at our home-track. We are looking good, are fully motivated and can rely on our qualities. We are positive, but either way it will be a very exciting weekend.”

The last Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup will take place at 17th and 18th September at Nürburgring. For more information, please visit htp-motorsport.de and www.blancpain-gt-series.com. Images are available free of charge at HTP Download.
