The money raised this year will again go to Oxfam's project providing waterfor poor communities in North Eastern Brazil. Ensuring access to a safewater supply is the vital priority in this region. In partnership withother organizations, Oxfam is implementing a huge project to build onemillion water tanks to collect rainwater. 11 million rural people in thisregion do not have access to clean water, the lack of which causes diseaseand is a huge factor in the high infant mortality rate in the region.

"Last years auction raised more than £16,000 for our work in Brazil, enoughmoney to build water tanks for 56 families, providing water for the 8 monthdry  season.  Oxfam  is  extremely  grateful  for  the  Renault  F1  Team'scommitment  to  this  project, and hope that this year's auction will be assuccessful as the previous two years," said Stephen Harvey from Oxfam.

Fernando Alonso commented: "This is a great opportunity to be able to helpOxfam's vital work. We race in Brazil every year, and therefore felt itwould make sense to be involved in this project".

The auction is being hosted by eBay and can be accessed viawww.oxfam.org.uk/f1 or www.renaultf1.com.  These lots are open for bids for7 days.

"I  am  very  pleased  to know that some of the clothing that could save mylife  during a Grand Prix can now be used to help other people. It is greatthat we can both offer F1 enthusiasts a chance to buy these items and raisemoney for this Oxfam project", said Fernando Alonso.
