Trident GP3 Series Sepang Feature Race report

Antonio Fuoco cruised to a valuable eight place that handed him pole position for tomorrow’s sprint race.Starting from the 11th place on the grid, Antonio Fuoco was called to a recovery drive, relying on his usual great race pace. The 20-year-old Italian couldn’t bring home more than an 8th place due to a front tire issue that slowed him down during the day. “I could not attack as much as I wanted and defend second place in the championship” - said the ACI Team Italia-supported driver. After race 1, 39 points separate Antonio from the series lead.Artur Janosz was involved in a contact with one of his contenders, and a damaged suspension forced him to come back to the pits. He will have to start from the pit-lane in race 2 due to a penalty handed him by the stewards. After scoring a promising 8th place in qualifying, Sandy Stuvik secured a points finish as he rounded out the top-10, while Giuliano Alesi showcased good race pace on the way to a P16 finish.
