Grammy-Nominated Artist Vanessa Carlton Steps Into Spotlight At Monday's Awards Celebration

The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship will celebrate its 2016 season championship and award winners tonight in the annual WeatherTech Night of Champions at the Chateau Elan Resort and Winery in Braselton, Georgia.Recording artist Vanessa Carlton will provide musical entertainment for the festivities, performing in front of a private capacity audience. Her sixth album, Liberman Live, will be released on Oct. 21 on Dine Alone Records/Carolina International. Carlton’s debut single, “A Thousand Miles,” reached the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2002, while her debut album, Be Not Nobody, achieved a platinum certification in the United States.Critiquing her fifth studio album, Liberman, Rolling Stone wrote: “Thirteen years after ‘A Thousand Miles,’ Vanessa Carlton has refined her voice as a songwriter. Liberman is her fifth studio album, and it's turning heads.” Entertainment Weekly wrote, “Her fifth full-length is full of gorgeously melancholic ballads and reverb-soaked vocals.”The highly anticipated WeatherTech Night of Champions follows Saturday’s Petit Le Mans presented by Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort, a 10-hour event at Road Atlanta concluding the 12-race WeatherTech Championship and the Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup.The WeatherTech Night of Champions will honor driver, team and manufacturer champions from the four WeatherTech Championship classes: Prototype (P), GT Le Mans (GTLM), Prototype Challenge (PC) and GT Daytona (GTD). Champions of the Tequila Patrón North American Endurance Cup will also be honored.
