Snetterton GT Cup Awaits CRH Racing

CRH Racing head to Norfolk this weekend for the final rounds of the 2016 GT Cup at Snetterton aiming for a strong season-closing performance after the disappointment of the recent meeting at Silverstone. An engine fault on their Porsche 997 GT3 Cup race car meant the team were unable to race on the famous Grand Prix circuit last month, but the car is now back in action and the team will be eager to again show the form which saw them win the competitive GTB class earlier this season.“We finished re-building the car yesterday,” explained team manger Clive Hilton, “and today we are just packing to head to Snetterton. We will test there tomorrow and then we will really know how the car is, but it’s the final races of the season so we will give it our all.”The GT Cup is using the full ‘300’ Snetterton layout this weekend, and as ever the GT Cup format sees three races, two shorter single-driver rounds on Saturday and a longer two-driver event late on Sunday. Jonathan Evans will be in the Porsche for Saturday’s two 25-minute races, and joined by team regular Tom Bradshaw for the 50-minute race on Sunday.Qualifying for Saturday’s races is at 11.10, with races at 13.15 and 16.30. On Sunday CRH Racing qualify at 11.15 and the two driver race is at 16.25.
