Gearlink Kawasaki announces 2017 British Supersport riders

Andrew Irwin and Ben Currie Sign for the Gearlink Kawasaki Supersport Team Gearlink Kawasaki has announced some of their plans for the 2017 season. They will run two Kawasaki ZX-6Rs in the Dickies British Supersport Championship with Ulsterman Andrew Irwin and Australian Ben Currie.Gearlink Kawasaki has always been heavily involved in bringing new young riders through the ranks and once again will field two young promising riders next season. The team secured nine podiums throughout the 2016 season with their riders and will be aiming for more next year.21-year-old, Andrew Irwin joined the Gearlink Kawasaki team mid-way through the season. In the final four races of the season he was consistently scoring strong points without a doubt he will gain several podium places during the 2017 Dickies British Supersport series.Fellow 21-year-old. Ben Currie will return to the Dickies Supersport Championship next year. He finished eighth overall in 2016, winning two races. He will be striving to achieve more in 2017 with the Gearlink Kawasaki team.Andrew Irwin - "I'm really excited to be going into my first full season with the Gearlink Kawasaki team in the Dickies British Supersport Championship. I learnt a lot in the last half of the 2016 season, I didn't get the podium I wanted but I gained a huge amount of knowledge which will help massively towards my 2017 season.I feel like now is the right time to make that step to be consistently fighting for podiums and wins and if we can do that then we'll certainly be Championship challengers, that is my goal.
