Strong field of contenders in 2017 ADAC Formula 4

Huge response: Ten teams have entered so far for 201728 grid slots out of 35 already allocated

The ADAC Formula 4 will again feature a large field of contenders in 2017. With just four months to go before the season starts in the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben on the weekend of 28th - 30th April 2017, ten teams fielding 28 cars have already registered for the third season of the ADAC High-Speed Academy since registration commenced on 28th November. SPORT1 will again broadcast all ADAC Formula 4 races on free-to-air TV next season. The ADAC Formula 4 field will be limited to 35 cars in 2017, so that all competitors get the chance of a place on the grid in the weekend's three races, which also means that there will be no qualifying race next year following the change in regulations. Teams interested in contesting the ADAC Formula 4 still have until 28th February to register for the 2017 season. The ADAC Formula 4 will again rely on the services of tried and trusted partners during the 2017 season. Formula 4 racing cars with chassis from Italian manufacturer Tatuus will be used, powered by Abarth turbo engines. Italian premium tyre manufacturer Pirelli, who are well-known from Formula 1, and wheel rim manufacturer MoTec, will supply parts to the ADAC Formula 4. Suspension components manufacturer Eibach and DEKRA, one of the world's leading vehicle inspection companies, are series partners. Auto Zeitung will continue to act as official media partner.
