With most dates running on the exciting and challenging 1.97 mile International Super Sports Car Circuit, it is an opportunity to follow in the slipstream of the UK’s top racing drivers. More commonly used by the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship and British GT/BRDC F3 Championships, this layout combines the long home/finish straight of the banked oval with hairpins and fast sweeping left-hand bends of the technically challenging infield sectionThe open pit lane format gives the flexibility to lap the circuit as much as you’d like. Running from 9am to 5pm*, drivers will receive a full safety briefing covering everything from track rules, car preparation, driving techniques, circuit information and familiarisation laps.Business Development Executive - Track, Will Thomas, who is responsible for track days at Rockingham, said: “Our track days have continued to go from strength to strength, and one of the main reasons for this is because we limit the number of participants taking part.“This ensures drivers get the most out of their track day experience at Rockingham, providing as much quality time on circuit as they’d like without heavy traffic or the usual UK road speed restrictions. For those considering taking their cars on track but not too sure what it involved, we also run taster sessions during the lunch break. This is an ideal way to begin your track day journey without committing to a full day.”One-to-one tuition from one of Rockingham’s experienced instructors, pit garage and helmet hire is also available at an additional cost. Or for those who would prefer not to use their own cars, two GBS cars will be available to hire. Full medical and safety cover is included in the price. For a full list of 2017 track day dates visit http://www.rockingham.co.uk/track-days/
