SAM Masters became Australian Champion as he overhauled rival Justin Sedgmen in Saturday’s final round at Kurri-Kurri.Wolves and Edinburgh star Masters had trailed Sedgmen by three points going into the meeting, but piled up 15 on the night with the meeting won by Poole’s Brady Kurtz.With Sedgmen not reaching the ‘A’ Final and scoring nine, he had to be content with second place overall, whilst Rye House newcomer Davey Watt edged out King’s Lynn’s Troy Batchelor for third.(SPEEDWAY 2)
ISLE of Wight have completed their National League side with the signing of Rikki Mullins.The 28-year-old returns to the Warriors having previously ridden for the club between 2009-2011.Mullins said: “I'm delighted to be back on the island after a few years away. It's a club that I have always enjoyed being involved with and already I have been made to feel very welcome by Team Manager Jackie Vatcher and co-promoter Barry Bishop. “I am really looking forward to meeting some new and familiar faces throughout the year. I have heard so many good things since the club has re-opened and it's something I really want to be a part of again and I can't wait to get back on track for the Warriors.”
