Romeo Ferraris seek to confirm good form at Spa TCR

Spa-Francorchamps will host the third event of the 2017 TCR International Series. Following the extra-European rounds in Georgia and Bahrain (within the F.1 weekend), the series for touring cars heads to Europe and the most spectacular track of all: Spa-Francorchamps.

The 7.004 km track on the hills of the Ardennes is known as one of the most testing grounds for cars and drivers, but Romeo Ferraris, who take care of the technical assistance for the GE.Force squad in the TCR International Series is ready to take up the challenge. After the two wins by Davit Kajaia and Dušan Borković in the first two events, the objective in Belgium will be to repeat the success and keep the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR at the top, despite an even fiercer competition. As always at Spa, one additional variable to take into consideration is the weather conditions, usually very changable, with the constant possibility of a sudden shower that may influence the events, bringing even more unpredictability in a very closely-fought series.

Michela Cerruti, Operations Manager Romeo Ferraris
“After enjoying being in Bahrain at the wheel of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR that I have coveted since its birth, at Spa I will go back to my position on the pit wall. It will be stressing, because driving is my passion, but I have also to perform my managerial duties at Romeo Ferraris. After racing together with Formula 1 in the Middle East, we’ll be this time paired with another top-level series, such as the World Endurance Championship. This brings an unusual schedule: we’ll be on track already on Thursday and will finish our races on Saturday noon before the 6-Hour race.”

11:00 – Free Practice 1
16:00 – Free Practice 2

Friday 5 May

17:25 – Race 1
