24 Hours of Le Mans Test Day: Kazuki Nakajima and Toyota quickest in morning session

Sébastien Buemi was the first to attack in the #8 Toyota, swiping the best time from the #7 and banking 3:23.210. Timo Bernhard in the #2 Porsche topped that shortly before the end of the third hour with 3:23.089 before Buemi retorted with 3:22.394. Kazuki Nakajima in the #8 Toyota caused a sensation twenty minutes before the end of the morning session by setting a new best lap at 3:20.778. A record time for Test Day! In the last few minutes of the session, his fellow countryman Kamui Kobayashi joined him at the top of the table, on 3.21.450. The #9 made it a timesheet one-two-three for Toyota.

Porsche took fourth place with the #2 919 Hybrid. The #2 Porsche (Bernhard/Bamber/Hartley) ran into technical trouble in the last few minutes of the session and limped back to the pits. Porsche rounded off the top five with Jani, Lotterer and Tandy in the #1, while the LM P1 privateer ByKolles Racing Team ENSO CLM languished in 17th.

In LM P2 André Negrao (#35 Alpine) clocked the best lap, 3:29.809, in the closing stages. The French outfit, the only one to better 3:30, was ahead of the #13 Oreca 07-Gibson fielded by Vaillant Rebellion. Graff Racing slipped in between the #13 and the #31. Le Mans rookie Rubens Barrichello was classed 15th in class in the #29 Oreca.

In LM GTE Pro, the #63 and #64 Corvette - Magnussen/Garcia/Taylor and Gavin/Milner/Fässler are first and third, with the #91 Porsche (Lietz/Makowiecki/Pilet) in second. The #97 Aston Martin took fourth place while the first Ferrari (#71) and the first Ford (#67) were classed sixth and seventh.

In LM GTE Am, the #77 Porsche 911 SRS Proton Competition topped the table, followed by the #83 DH Racing and #88 Ferrari 488 GTE
