Riccardo Agostini takes maiden Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America win

Riccardo Agostini clinched his first success in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America at historic Watkins Glen track. That was the second victory of the season for the Italian racer - after he topped the Italian GT race at Misano - climbing up second in the PRO standings, only eight points behind the lead.

After having set the pole position and the new track trecord in the Friday's qualifying, Agostini controlled the race from the green flag till the mandatory pit stops, sharing the wheel of the team Prestige Performance by Lamborghini Paramus Wayne Taylor Racing-powered car - under the banner of Anima Management and Venice Investment Group Ltd - with young team mate Trend Hindman.

The young American was able to defend the fist position from the Austin Versteeg attacks, crossing the finish line 541 milliseconds ahead of his rival. This victory wrapped up the Agostini/Hindman weekend after a wheel came off in the very last lap of Race 1 demoting them from the podium to the 12th position and the fourth in the class.

After he finished second and third in the opening round in Austin early last May, Agostini is now set for the next two stops at the Elkhart Lake and VIR circuits this coming August. Meanwhile he will take part in the fourth round of the Italian GT at Mugello, scheduled for 15th-16h July.
