Bennetts Suzuki set for Cadwell Park BSB

The Bennetts Suzuki team is in Lincolnshire for this weekend's Party in the Park and round eight of the MCE British Superbike Championship at Cadwell Park.

After a steady start to the season, the team made big strides with the development of its GSX-R1000 machinery last time out at Thruxton: Richard Cooper took another win the National Superstock 1000 class, while Sylvain Guintoli improved his speed and performance in both of the weekend's races, finding over half a second in lap-time from race one to race two, taking a best finish of eighth.

Taylor Mackenzie has suffered from a run of bad luck, but has shown flashes of his potential onboard the new GSX-R1000, with a fifth-place finish earlier in the season and strong lap times at other circuits. He will be looking to convert that potential into results this weekend.

Sylvain Guintoli:

"Cadwell was actually my return race in 2009 after my injury, so I have raced here before and it's good to be back at some tracks that I know. I walked the track earlier and it really reminded me how unique it is. Every track has its own character, but Cadwell Park is one of a kind, not just the mountain but the whole track. I will approach it this weekend as just another race track, though, and as a team we'll keep working at it, and try to keep improving our speed. It's difficult to predict how it will go this weekend, the unique nature of the track can make it difficult, but we will be working to be as fast as possible."

Taylor Mackenzie:

"As always, I'm excited to get back on my bike. We tested here earlier in the summer and so we've got a bit of data to work from, but plenty more improving to do. We've had a run of bad luck, some little technical issues that have stopped us getting the results we know we can race for. But we've also had some good performances and shown good speed. I really enjoy Cadwell Park. I got my first 125 win here so it's been good to me before, hopefully we can have a good weekend this weekend."

Richard Cooper:

"We had a good test here and I was happy with our speed to be honest. At this point of the season we've now got the bike to a point where we're not making big changes. I'm happy with the setup, the speed, I'm comfortable on it, and it's now about going out there and racing it. We've got to be going out there and taking points out of our championship contenders, so hopefully we can have another good weekend."
