Enjoy VIP treatment at Classic Nostalgia with the Startline Club

New addition to the Classic Nostalgia weekend offers exclusive VIP experience
Private enclosure provides guests with amazing view of the Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb
Rub shoulders with great names from the world of motor racing
Enjoy breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea – plus grandstand seating and more

The eagerly anticipated Classic Nostalgia meeting returns to Shelsley Walsh on 22-23 July, and visitors can make this action-packed weekend even more memorable with a VIP experience at the Startline Club.

A new addition to the event for 2023, the Startline Club offers guests unrestricted access to the entire site plus exclusive entry to the VIP enclosure, which occupies pole position overlooking the startline and the famous ‘Vox Villa II’ commentary box. Its elevated vantage point offers private grandstand seating and sensational views of the historic hillclimb course from which enthusiasts can watch cars blast up to Kennel bend.

Classic Nostalgia has partnered with Memories Catering for the Startline Club, and it will be offering guests a mouth-watering menu including high-quality, locally sourced ingredients – from meat supplied by local farmers to vegetables grown in the Worcestershire countryside.

After a delicious welcome breakfast with juices, tea and coffee, the VIP experience will continue during the day with a two-course gourmet barbecue lunch including a glass of fizz. That will be followed by afternoon tea, while tea, coffee, mineral water and cordial will be on offer throughout the day. There will also be a private cash bar exclusively for the use of Startline Club guests.

Classic Nostalgia always attracts great names from the world of the motor racing, and this year will be no different. The Startline Club will host special appearances throughout the weekend, and among those who will be at the event are legendary Formula 1 designer John Barnard, Ian Flux and Warwick Banks, plus ever-versatile racers Richard Attwood, John Fitzpatrick and Stuart Graham.

The entry for the hillclimb ranges from Grand Prix machinery – including the Durex-sponsored Surtees TS19 that caused such a controversy when it appeared in 1976 that British television companies refused to broadcast Formula 1 racing – to thunderous Can-Am racers and a stunning array of Group A, Group B and WRC rally cars from Ralli22. There will be a major celebration of McLaren’s 60th anniversary, and other highlights will include a collection of cars celebrating 65 years of the British Touring Car Championship, 90 years of ERA and Railton, and 60 years of the legendary Mini Cooper S.

With a flypast from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight’s Hawker Hurricane on the Saturday and the Classic & Sports Car Concours set to return on the Sunday, it’s bound to be another fabulous occasion. Whether it’s to celebrate an occasion, entertain clients or just enjoy a truly special day out, the Startline Club’s VIP hospitality package offers an exhilarating weekend of racing at one of the world’s most picturesque and charismatic venues.
