Strong ecosystem of partners supporting Alpine in its final Hypercar campaign
Alpine Endurance Team continues its preparations for the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season following the postponement of the opening round in Qatar.
The official Prologue, initially scheduled ahead of the Qatar race weekend, has now been rescheduled and will take place on 14 April, while the 6 Hours of Imola will serve as the opening race of the 2026 FIA WEC season 17 to 19 April.
Alpine Endurance Team completed an important stage of its winter preparation programme with a productive testing period at MotorLand Aragón in Spain. The sessions allowed engineers and drivers to continue refining the Alpine A424 and gather valuable data across a wide range of conditions.
The programme focused on setup optimisation, reliability work and tyre understanding, enabling the team to build on the progress achieved during the off-season. The feedback gathered during the test provided encouraging insights and clear development directions as Alpine Endurance Team prepares for the start of its third and final campaign in the Hypercar category.
Alongside its sporting ambitions, Alpine Endurance Team enters the 2026 season supported by its strongest partner ecosystem to date, bringing together 16 brands. It illustrates the growing attractiveness of the programme and its ability to deliver real value as a platform where performance, technology and business objectives come together.
Premium partners ELF and H. Moser & Cie continue to play a central role alongside a strong group of long-standing strategic collaborators including Eurodatacar, Cheops Technology, M4Markets, Ixell, Businessolver, GCR (Groupement des Concessionnaires Renault), France Toner, Devoteam, Havas, Dewesoft and Sabelt.
For this season, Alten, Mobilize Financial Services and Milwaukee Tool have also joined the project, further strengthening the technological expertise and operational capabilities supporting the team both at the factory and at the track.
This strong group reflects the confidence of Alpine's partners in the endurance programme and underlines the collaborative ecosystem that contributes to perform both on and off the circuit.'
The team also enters this new phase with an evolution in its leadership structure. Bruno Famin recently stepped down from his role.
Axel Plasse, VP Alpine Tech, who has already been overseeing the endurance programme, will now also assume the responsibilities previously held by Bruno Famin while continuing to work closely with Team Principal Philippe Sinault and the entire Alpine Endurance Team.
Axel Plasse, VP Alpine Tech
“We would first like to thank Bruno Famin for the work he has done and for the commitment he brought to the Alpine endurance programme. He played a key role in establishing the project and supported the team from its early development phases, which have resulted in three strong podium finishes as well as a notable victory in Fuji. I have been already supervising the program as VP Alpine Tech and now I will also take on Bruno's responsibilities working more closely supporting the team alongside Philippe Sinault. The recent test at MotorLand Aragón allowed us to continue learning about the Alpine A424 and refine several areas of performance development. Despite the postponement of the opening round in Qatar, the team remains fully focused. Together with our partners, who play a key role in this project, our objective is to continue progressing and to make the most of this final season of the programme.”
Philippe Sinault, Team Principal Alpine Endurance Team
“Our test at MotorLand Aragón was an important step in our preparation, building on the work completed at Le Castellet and Portimão. Running the Alpine A424 in its 2026 configuration over a 24-hour endurance format allowed us to complete an intensive programme with both crews together for the first time. We focused particularly on aerodynamics and tyre understanding, benefiting from representative top speeds and varied track conditions. The outcome is positive, with over 3,000 kilometres completed and all six drivers contributing to valuable correlation work with our simulations. While the postponement of the Qatar round is unfortunate, it gave us additional time to prepare for the season start. We remain fully mobilised, with further simulator work and another test planned at Spa-Francorchamps early April as we continue to refine our package.”
Nicolas Lapierre, Sporting Director Alpine Endurance Team
“I am very satisfied with the progress we have made with our 2026 developments. I am also very pleased with how quickly our two new drivers have integrated into the team. Victor adapted extremely well from the outset, while António already plays a key role within the group. The six-driver line-up is working very well together, with a strong team spirit building both on and off track. Of course, the postponement of the Qatar round is disappointing, but we are looking forward to starting the season in Imola — a circuit where we secured a podium in 2025 — which gives us confidence heading into the opening race.”
