• Italian manufacturer to supply full grid of new-for-2026 series
• Season begins with two races at Circuit Paul Ricard on 11/12 April
The cars entered for the inaugural GT3 Revival Series round at Circuit Paul Ricard come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but they will all have something in common: the full field will compete using Pirelli tyres.
This marks the latest development in a longstanding partnership between the Italian manufacturer and SRO Motorsports Group, which will organise the new series in collaboration with Peter Auto. Since 2013, Pirelli has been the exclusive supplier to GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS, a role that has since expanded to encompass every SRO series around the world.
This has made the Italian brand synonymous with international GT racing. Whether at Spa, Shanghai, Sonoma or Sydney, the distinctive Pirelli logo is a constant presence, linking competitors and circuits at opposite ends of the globe.
As such it was natural that the new GT3 Revival Series – which represents the first eight years of GT3 competition from 2006 to 2013 – would rely on Pirelli rubber. These modern classics will run on the versatile P Zero DHG, the same product used in all SRO-run GT2, GT3 and GT4 championships.
Indeed, Pirelli will supply a vast variety of SRO events during the 2026 season, from regional sprint races to the marquee CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa. The Belgian enduro is the ultimate exemplar of Pirelli's expertise, with approximately 15,000 tyres supplied from its state-of-the-art fitting village within the paddock.
“Pirelli is the very best kind of partner,” said Stéphane Ratel, Founder and CEO of SRO Motorsports Group. “As well as a world-class product and fantastic customer service, they also offer invaluable commercial and technical support. Teams around the world benefit from their quality and consistency, and I am delighted that this will extend to the GT3 Revival Series.”
“We are delighted to extend our collaboration with SRO to this new series, which celebrates the recent history of GT racing – a discipline that has grown over time to become increasingly competitive and thrilling, thanks in no small part to the work carried out by the promoter,” said Matteo Braga, Circuit Activity Manager Pirelli. “The GT3 Revival Series races will provide an additional source of spectacle and yet another reason to enjoy fine weekends at the track.”
Following the opening round at Circuit Paul Ricard, the GT3 Revival Series will stage its next two meetings at Spa Classic (22–24 May) and Le Mans Classic (3–5 July). Events at the Nürburgring (29–30 August) and Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (3–4 October) – both alongside GT World Challenge Europe – will complete the inaugural season.
The tyres for the GT3 Revival Series are the same as those supplied to all other GT series: the P Zero DHG for dry conditions and the Cinturato WHB for wet conditions. The DHG, developed for GT2, GT3 and GT4 cars, ensures a wide working range, fast warm-up and reliable car balance over long distances. The Cinturato WHB features a stiffer tread pattern and innovative materials that improve footprint, grip, low-temperature warm-up, sensitivity to aquaplaning and the usable window during racing.
