Blower joins OBrien in Heritage GT
Colin Blower will have one of his first ever races in a Mini in the second round of the Heritage Grand Touring Car Challenge at Donington Park on 20/21 May.The sportscar veteran will team up with Irish racer Conor O'Brien to race O'Brien's 1966 Mini Cooper S and could contest one or two more races in the car later in the season. The connection comes as Blower's team tends O'Brien's lightweight Aston Martin DB4, and so the Hinckley racer has accepted an invitation to race the Mini at his local track.Blower started racing in 1973 and has enjoyed tremendous success over more than 30 years, winning numerous championship titles including the TVR Tuscan Challenge.More recently, he has raced a Lola T70 Spyder and won the Historic Sports Car race that supported the 2002 British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
