Mouth watering grid for Woodcote Trophy

The Fiskens-sponsored Woodcote Trophy gets underway this weekend with an impressive grid of pre-1956 sports cars set to contest the first round at the Grand Prix de l'Age d'Or in Dijon, France.

Historic automobile dealers Fiskens have offered their support to the Motor Racing Legends run series for genuine sports-racers of the post-War era, up to and including December 1955, since its inception in 2006, with this year set to build on the significant success of last.

Former Formula One venue Dijon, which hosted six Grand Prix in the 1970s and 80s, welcomes a 28-car grid this weekend with the racing across seven classes sure to be brimming with action and, not least, nostalgia. The challenging French circuit will allow competitors to showcase their talent amongst one of the finest fields of post war sports cars ever assembled.

The likes of the 5200cc Allard K3 will share the grid with, Jaguar D-Types and C-Types, an Aston Martin DB2/4, Triumph TR2s and many more classic machines, as the Woodcote Trophy provides drivers and owners the chance to race their beautifully prepared historic sports cars.

Fiskens will also present a ‘Spirit of the Series’ award at each round, which will visit Silverstone and Spa after the weekend’s sojourn to Dijon. The trophy is presented to anyone who has made a valuable contribution and encapsulates the ‘spirit of the weekend’.
