At their recent Annual Prizegiving Lunch, the HGPCA announced a new auction house sponsorship arrangement with RM Auctions.

Following closely on from their first UK Auction in early October, Max Girardo of RM said “we see this as a new and exciting relationship with the HGPCA which we see as the most prestigious historic racing organisation. It demonstrates our determination to further our interests in Europe, and we look forward to working with the Association in the seasons to come.”

HGPCA Chairman, Roger Lucas said “that this was a further important step forward in the growth of the Association. We have been very fortunate with the support of our banking partners, Arbuthnot Latham, and we see this as a further strengthening of our position and an opportunity to work with this dynamic and highly involved auction house”.

This year also saw the first race meeting run by the Association under the GP Events banner at Donington Park – deemed to have been an outstanding success by all concerned and which will be repeated in 2008.
