AHEAD OF THRUXTON
Team RAC star Colin Turkington will warm up for the HiQ MSA British TouringCar Championship round at Thruxton on Sunday (18 May) with a trip toSalisbury to meet motor sport fans. Turkington will be taking part in the HiQ motor sport fans forum on Thursday(15 May) where he will meet fans, sign autographs and answer questions abouthimself and the BTCC.
Irishman Colin Turkington secured Team RAC's first win of the 2006 season inthe final race at the Hampshire circuit, and is hopeful that the BMW 320siwill be able to repeat that success this time around. Dick Bennetts, WSR Team Principal, commented: "Thruxton is the fastestcircuit on the calendar and a track that Team RAC have done well at in thepast.
Colin won here in 2006 so is proven on the circuit and the BMW has thepace to have us firmly at the front of the pack. "Donington was disappointing overall, although it was great to see Colinqualify so well. We're determined to get back on line at Thruxton and giveTeam RAC fans something to shout about. It's important we pick up valuablepoints in all three races and that will be the aim." Colin Turkington added:
"Donington was bitterly disappointing for me so Ican't wait to get back behind the wheel - it's been a long two weeks! Thiscircuit has some good memories for me. I recorded Team RAC's first win herein 2006, and it's vitally important we perform well again this time out.
