David Brabham-Go Motorsport Ambassador

Go Motorsport has announced that David Brabham is the latest star name to join the distinguished list of official Go Motorsport Ambassadors - a collection of high profile personalities all actively supporting the far-reaching campaign set up by the Motor Sports Association, the governing body of UK motor sport. Go Motorsport was launched recently by Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton at the McLaren Technology Centre.

British born Brabham - youngest son of three times World Champion Sir Jack Brabham - is not only a former F1 race driver but also one of the world's most respected sportscar racers. He's the only man to have won in every category in the American Le Mans Series and recently scored his second successive LM GT1 class victory at the Le Mans 24 Hours as a key member of the successful Aston Martin Racing team. Brabham also leads the MSA's widely acclaimed Race Elite programme which is focused on grooming the next generation of British racing drivers.

The 42-year-old joins an impressive - and growing - roster of Go Motorsport Ambassadors, including national, international and world champions along with other key figures who are all supporting this important initiative to encourage people to get involved in motor sport whether as a competitor, spectator or volunteer.

"Motor sport has so much to offer but it can be tricky for outsiders to get involved. I was lucky enough to be born into a family with strong racing connections however there are millions of others who watch Formula 1 and other disciplines on television and have no idea how to further their passions," says Brabham. "Go Motorsport has been established to address these issues and the new GoMotorsport.net website is a great starting point for anyone wanting to get closer to the action."
