Turbo Dynamics girls, ‘Lovely Louisa’ and ‘Heavenly Hayley’ battled it out against the British weather at the GTI Festival last Sunday.

Despite strong winds and rain, the TD girls and staff stuck it out at the Volkswagen event handing out their popular goodie bags, answering questions and offering advice on their specialist subject: turbochargers. The girls - who had travelled up from TD’s Head Quarters in Christchurch, Dorset - managed to look great throughout the dreary day despite perhaps, a bit windswept. In fact the winds were so blustery at Wellingborough that one young toddler got blown over!

Many Volkswagen fans also showed their dedication by attending the festival to display and race their cars on the Santa Pod Raceway ¼ mile dragstrip. Amongst the displays were outlandish cars, modified cars and more classic examples of VWs. Skodas, Seats and Audis were also present as part of the VAG family.

Someone else braving the cold was a man doing an impression of Sacha Baron Cohen’s character, Borat; wearing a lime green Sling Bikini or “mankini”, whilst riding a bicycle!
