V8s Family Feud Takes To The Track

Allan Jarvis, son of Robert “Captain” Jarvis is moving out of his much loved dirt racing and making his debut for B.V.C racing in Round Five of the Yokohama V8 Ute Racing Series at QLD Raceway next weekend, Friday 18th – Sunday 20th July against a well rounded bunch of locals.

Father, Robert Jarvis couldn’t be happier with his son’s move.

“I’m excited that he is moving over to Utes. It should be a good weekend with a bit of a father and son arrangement. Allan has been racing for six years now but it is his first time racing a V8 Ute,” Robert said.

“I’m looking forward to jumping behind a Ute. It is different to what I am use to but I can’t wait to finally see who’s faster out of me and my Dad,” Allan said.

Jarvis who is only 20 and now the youngest in the field, will have a fierce challenge alongside other youngsters, 21 year old George Miedecke and 22 year old local Queenslander Ryal Harris who are placed sixth and fifth consecutively in the series.

There will be non-stop action for Queensland fans with six locals in the field; Stephen Robinson (Howard Racing), Greg Willis (Grove Juice Racing) and team-mates, Craig Dontas (Roaring Lion Energy Drink Racing), Peter Burnitt and Brad Patton all from Big Gun Racing.

Brad “Packers” Patton will be especially keen to hit the track after a disappointing right off in Race Two on the weekend. Patton had a t-bone collision with Big Gun Racing team-mate and father in-law Peter “The Gangster” Burnitt early in the second race, which left “Packers” out of the race and out of the round for the weekend.

Round Five looks to be an exciting weekend with lots on show beginning with the first practice round, Friday, 18th July at 10:20am and the rest of the weekend as follows:
