Racers with the Historic Sports Car Club will have a chance to sample two of the finest circuits in Europe this autumn with special events at Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) and Dijon-Prenois (France).
The club has contracted to take grids at two major historic racing festivals in order to give members the chance to race on either of these two famous tracks.
Over the weekend of September 24-26, two Open-Wheel races will be run at the Spa Classic Six-Hour meeting. The races will be open to HSCC members in cars from the Historic Formula 2, Classic Formula 3, Historic FF2000, Historic FF1600 and Classic Racing Car categories. In addition, Formula 2 and Formula Atlantic cars from the Derek Bell Trophy will be eligible along with 1-litre Formula 3 cars.
Then, a week later on October 1-3, two Closed-Wheel races will be run at the Trophées Historiques de Bourgogne at Dijon. These races will cater for members in cars from the Guards Trophy, Historic Racing Saloons, 70s Road Sports and Historic Road Sports categories.
"We've got a great UK calendar for all the championship rounds, but this gives people the chance of a fun weekend away at one of two very special tracks," said Grahame White, CEO of the HSCC. "It is hard to think of two better tracks in Europe than Spa and Dijon and we hope that members will take the chance of an early autumn trip across the channel."
More details about both events are available from the HSCC office and on the club website: hscc.org.uk
