JOE Haines admitted he couldn't believe what had happened after winning the British Under-21 title at Lakeside.The Wolverhampton teenager, who is on loan to Premier League King's Lynn,got the better of Grand Prix star Tai Woffinden, reigning champion Lewis Bridger and Rye House star Kyle Hughes in the final.He said: "I can't believe it, I came here looking to qualify for the final but I just felt better and better as the night went on."To win the title is like a dream come true for me and it's a real boost for my season. For me to beat Tai and Lewis is a real confidence boost and gives me more belief."

BELLE Vue defied the ravages of the Icelandic volcano to land their first away Elite League win of the season 48-42 at Coventry.Four riders were unable to fly in because of the lockdown on flights but they were given permission to bring in guest riders - and former Coventryman Scott Nicholls top scored with 14.Team manager Chris Morton said: "It was an excellent performance and madeall our efforts to put a team together worthwhile. We have waited a long time for a win at Coventry and now we must build on it."
