Following the accident in the GP2 feature race at the Hungaroring, Ho-Pin Tung had an MRI scan yesterday, which confirmed a very small fracture on the lumbar vertebra.

No surgery is required and his period of recovery is not expected to be an extended one. He will remain in Budapest’s AEK Hospital until Tuesday and will then return home to rest.

A further medical examination is scheduled for two weeks’ time to assess his recovery.
