MSA British Long Circuit (Superkart) Championship

Round 5: Castle Combe, July 31-August 1

Paul Platt and Jason Dredge shared the spoils of round five of the MSA British Long Circuit (Superkart) Championship with a victory apiece in the System Store Solutions, Fami and Pro Clean-sponsored races at Castle Combe.Dredge began race one from pole position but lost out to Paul Platt as the lights went green. James O’Reilly gave chase in second but left the road with brake problems only a few laps from home. Dredge thus took up the fight but could not usurp Platt, who took the chequered flag.Platt then led race two until a coming-together between Louis Wall and Malcolm Clarke necessitated a red flag on lap three. Dredge led from the restart and thereafter began an epic battle with Platt, who worked his way into the lead only to be re-passed on the final lap.
