(SPEEDWAY 1)PLAY-OFF chasing Lakeside have signed Swedish international Peter Ljung as a replacement for Daniel Davidsson.Ljung has previously ridden for Hammers boss Jon Cook at Eastbourne, and joins on loan from Swindon in time to make his debut at Ipswich on Thursday.Cook said: "Peter is a determined character who by his own admission has not given UK Speedway a proper go, but he feels now is the time and he will give us added bite particularly away from home - although I am sure it won't take long for him to get to grips with the Raceway. "Lee (Richardson) and Adam (Shields) are both fans of Peter's style of racing and fans that have seen him in previous year's Speedway World Cups will know that on his day he can beat the best."He joins us at an age when he still has many years of UK racing ahead of him and we will talk to Swindon about making the move permanent should the rest of the season prove a success."(SPEEDWAY 2)EDINBURGH have bolstered their line-up for the Premier League run-in with the signing of William Lawson to replace Tobias Busch.Lawson comes into the Monarchs side at reserve having previously raced for Belle Vue in the top flight this season, and it is a homecoming for the 23-year-old Scot as he has already spent four seasons with Edinburgh, including being No.1 for much of their title-winning 2008 season.Monarchs spokesman Mike Hunter said: "Tobias was forced out of the side last week through severe problems with his equipment."William's arrival means that the Scotwaste Monarchs are fielding very close to the side they announced back in December that they wanted to track this season."The only difference is that German Max Dilger was then included in the septet, now replaced by Arlo Bugeja."
