Disastrous season to date for Vervisch
At the meeting of the Italian F3 championship at Mugello, Vervisch, once again had to deal with two broken engines.
This brings his total up to 5 broken engines in 4 races!
Because of the engine failure early in the weekend he could not participate in qualifying nor in the first race.
In the second race he had to start in the back, made a good getaway at the green light, made up 6 positions only to be bumped out of the race by his teammate Roda, while Vervisch tried to avoid a collision that happened just in front of him.
"I am not at liberty to tell you why I had all these engines failures but I can tell you this: the team nor myself can be blamed for it as the reasons are external to our team and myself", completed the very disappointed Vervisch.
However, Gian Carlo Minardi, who does scouting for the Ferrari Driver Academy was truly impressed by Vervisch' performance. The Belgian managed to set third fastest overall in just the couple of laps he was able to complete during free practice!
