(SPEEDWAY 1)BJARNE Pedersen became Poole's all-time third highest scorer during the Pirates' emphatic win over South coast rivals Eastbourne.Danish star Pedersen overtook Steve Schofield in the standings and is now behind only fellow former club captains Pete Smith and Craig Boyce.Individual honours in the match itself went to the Poole reserves Leon Madsen and Jason Doyle, who collected 23 (paid 27) between them in their side's 61-31 victory which takes them further clear at the top of the table.Pedersen said: "It is nice to go from fourth to third but the way I look at it there are still two others who have scored more than me. I would love to have the chance to be around long enough to try and catch them."Although plenty of people came up to me beforehand to wish me luck and get the seven points I needed to go third it didn't actually put any extra pressure on me because my meeting goal is always ten points in any case."(SPEEDWAY 2)WOLVERHAMPTON star Adam Skornicki has undergone an exploratory operation on his troublesome knee injury.Skornicki was ruled out of Wolves' home win over Ipswich having aggravated the problem during an attempted comeback in Poland last week.He has now gone under the knife to reveal the full extent of the damage he caused when celebrating a win last month. He twisted the knee when performing one of his trademark donuts, where he spins the bike in front of the fans.Wolves owner Chris Van Straaten said: "We have some massive meetings coming up and we cannot afford to be without Adam. He's been in great form and we just hope the damage isn't too bad."He has said he will be in touch as soon as he knows the extent of the injury and how long he needs to recover."(SPEEDWAY 3)
RYE House star Jordan Frampton faces a lengthy lay-off after it was confirmed he suffered a fractured knee-cap in his crash at Berwick last weekend.Frampton already knew he had a dislocation, and doctors are now waiting for the swelling to subside in order to check for possible ligament and tendon damage.Recent Rockets signing Robbie Kessler is also on the sidelines at present having suffered a foot injury in an accident on a trials bike.Team boss John Sampford said: "We're obviously delighted with the five match points we gained (on Northern tour) - which pushed us back up to third place in the Premier League table - but have we paid too high a price? "Jordan has contributed so much to the team's results this year, and now we are left with trying to fill a huge gap."
