Porsche Carrera Cup GB racer Tony Gilham is celebrating new support from Morgan Forbes which should allow the hard-working pro-am1 title contender to complete the season.
Morgan Forbes, the investment company, stepped in to back the Collins ReDesign team when it seemed as though lack of budget was going to curtail his season. "Without their support our season was over," said Gilham. "We'd not be here without them. We've all been working on sponsorship for the seven weeks since Croft."
The small Collins ReDesign Racing team has been working flat out through the mid-season break and has been able to move to a newer truck, complete with team livery. New trade support has come from Lista Cabinets and at Snetterton the team is running alongside the GT Marques team in a technical partnership, with Paul Mace and his crew helping with set-up on the Gilham car.
At the forthcoming Silverstone weekend (21/22 August), Gilham and his team will be racing in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, with the pink livery of the charity prominent on the car.
