Round 6: Dogleap Rally, August 7Donagh Kelly held off a late charge by Kenny McKinstry to win round six of the Hankook MSA Northern Ireland Stage Rally Championship, the WHN Tyres/LGC Dogleap Rally. McKinstry led after the opening two stages but fell to fourth following a driveshaft failure on SS3 and a subsequent 40-second penalty for being late to service.Johnny McKenna inherited the lead, only to gift it to Kelly after leaving the road on the following stage. Richard Hogg then worked his way into second place but rolled out of contention on the penultimate test, leaving Kelly to fend off the recovering McKinstry, who missed out on victory by a scant two seconds.
