Alvaro Parente in AF Corse colours at Hungaroring LMS

Alvaro's Parente talent keeps being recognised in the international  arena and he will be at Hungaroring Le Mans Series' event, after being  invited by AF Corse to be at the wheel of one of its Ferrari F430 GT. The Portuguese youngster's 2010 season has been very busy, with a  program at the Superleague Formula by Sonangol, where he has already  been in the top step of the podium, and other at the Spanish GT  Championship, where he leads the drivers' standings. The fantastic results that he achieved at the Spanish competition -  mainly the event where he raced with the GT Open, when he was the  fastest in the track with a two years old car - impressed Amato  Ferrari, AF Corse team boss, who invited him to take the wheel of one  of his official Ferrari that he will put on track for the Hungarian  event of the most important Endurance series of the Europe. Alvaro Parente will race in the competitive GT2 class of the 1000Km of  Hungaroring, during which he will have a stiff competition from the  Porsche official drivers and will have as team mates the formers  Formula 1 drivers Giancarlo Fisichella and Jean Alesi and the GT  expert, Toni Vilander. The young driver from Oporto will share the  ninety-six Ferrari with Alvaro Barba, in which will be a fast and  efficient pair, something that leaves the Portuguese very pleased with  the AF Corse invitation. "It's a great honour for me to be chosen by  the official Ferrari team to take part in the Hungarian Le Mans Series  event. This championship is very competitive, where it is possible to  watch intense fights between the Maranello's official drivers and  Porsche's, a fight that capture the fans imagination, and makes me  very excited to be part of it. As always, I'll give my best so I can  justify the confidence that the team put in me", underlined, extremely  motivated, the gifted Portuguese driver. This invitation can be the beginning of a deeper cooperation between  Alvaro Parente and the team that officially defends Ferrari colours in  numerous GT championships, but the driver from Portugal wants to give  a step at a time and is focus is in the Hungaroring event. "There is a  possibility of continuing with AF Corse but, first, I want to achieve  a good performance at Hungary and, after, I'll think in the future. My  priority is to do a good work and show to Amato Ferrari that he was on  the right side when he invited me", ended the young Portuguese driver.
