Road America National Championship with ALMS
When drivers of the BFGoodrich/Skip Barber National presented by Mazda got in their cars for the first practice session Friday morning at Road America, they were greatly disappointed due to fog causing a lack of visibility on track. The session was canceled and the drivers resorted to reviewing data from the previous day's lapping session. The hindrance left the drivers only more determined when they took to the track in the afternoon for the qualifying for today’s race, Round 11 of the 14 race schedule.
Peter Ludwig topped the charts, taking home the California Scents Pole Award, for Race 1 of the weekend. Coincidently, the second, third and fourth qualifying positions are currently tied for third in the championship: MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development driver Felix Serralles,Dennis Trebing and Ashley Freiberg. Points leader Spencer Pigot will be starting in sixth and sitting second in the points, Isaac Lyons will be starting in eleventh.
Results are unofficial and subject to change pending routine video review.
