It was a nasty crash and I'm told if they had got his artery, he'd have been dead in minutes."

EDINBURGH are five points away from the Premier League title after Friday's impressive home victory over Somerset. The Monarchs put in their best Armadale display for some time with a 58-35 win, and two more victories will now be enough even if Newcastle win all of their remaining fixtures.Club chairman Alex Harkess said: "That was a good performance in a match which could have been difficult, and the most pleasing thing was that we didn't throw away any of the silly points we have been losing recently."
