MARCIN Rempala scored his second successive paid maximum at Berwick to helphis side recover from a sticky start against Workington. The Pole was unbeaten from five rides as the Bandits fought back from 15-9down in the early stages to secure a resounding 57-33 win.The Comets, meanwhile, suffered a further injury blow with Kenny Ingalls taken to hospital for treatment on a suspected broken ankle.Berwick boss Ian Rae said: "I have to admit to being a little concerned early on with the Comets opening up that early and convincing lead which made us all think they had the firepower to take a win
"But once the lads got to grips with things they proved their desire to win still rings loud, strong and long, and again our team spirit lifted as the Comets found no answers to battle back late on. It was another team performance to get a lot of pride from."

REIGNING Premier League Riders Champion Ricky Ashworth is playing a waiting game over his chances of defending the title next month.Ashworth won the meeting at Sheffield last season but is currently just behind his team-mate Josh Auty in the Tigers' averages - which would leave him needing one of the two wildcard positions to take part.
Ashworth said: "Fair play to Josh, he's had a great season and he's beenf lying right from the start. I have been too inconsistent at times and that's really what has cost me an automatic place, as seems likely."I feel like there's a dark cloud hanging over me at the moment because of the PLRC, it's a major part of my season and I'm kicking myself that I haven't been able to book my place as Sheffield's number one."And I'm not holding my breath over the wildcard because you just don't know what the organisers will come up with. I'd love to do it but right now I have to wait for the nod."
