Hispania Racing driver will pair up with fellow Brazilian Lucas di Grassi
Bruno Senna will team up with close friend and fellow Brazilian Formula One driver, Lucas di Grassi, to compete in the TriStar 111 Monaco triathlon on Sunday.
Bruno is committed to cycling as a key part of his training and will take the 100km ride as his part in the relay, while Di Grassi will complete the 1km swim and 10km run.
The pair will be joined by other sports stars, including fellow racer Jenson Button and world record holder in pole vault, Sergei Bubka, as well as the 660 individual competitors and 40 relay teams.
Bruno, who lives in the Principality, is looking forward to the event: "For me and Lucas, this will be fun and a challenge; our team is called Ribs Fat, which is a combination of our nicknames for each other (Bruno has broken virtually every rib in his body go-karting, and ‘grasso’ is Italian for ‘fat’). We are not competing to win the event but it will help our fitness training routines; I’m used to cycling, and am really in to the sport, but even for me 100km in the hills is a long way and I’ll be happy if I come through with a good time and all my bones in tact!"
