You would think after four race meetings in four weeks, Patrón Highcroft Racing boss Duncan Dayton would be looking for a weekend off.
After three American Le Mans Series events and an outing aboard the Marino Andretti 1978 World Championship Lotus 78 at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion, Dayton will again get back behind the wheel this week at the Lime Rock Historic Festival.
The Lotus 79 will be returning to Lime Rock - this time Dayton taking back the wheel from his ALMS star driver David Brabham.
The 2009 ALMS LMP1 champion and 2010 points leader recently sampled the Lotus for a feature story for Autosport Magazine's 60th anniversary issue.
Dayton will be a busy man at Lime Rock this weekend, also driving his Chevron B23 sportscar and the 1967 McLaren M4A Formula 2 car.
The former Lime Rock Cup winner will be on track on Friday, Saturday and Monday of the Labor Day weekend.
Fans attending the event can also enjoy the increasingly popular Sunday in the Park Concours & Car Show on Sunday the 5th.
